Songs To Listen To In Warm Weather

The weather is changing, so it’s time for our playlists to change too. Here are the top ten songs to listen to in the beautiful spring weather that we have to look forward to!

Butterflies – Kacey Musgraves

Kacey Musgraves’ 2018 album “Golden Hour” has been a go to for me these past few weeks as the weather begins to warm up, but “Butterflies” definitely has the most springtime vibe out of all of the songs on this album. What else could remind you more of nice weather than the butterfly?

Cornelia Street – Taylor Swift

Named after a street in New York City, Taylor Swift’s “Cornelia Street” is a perfect song to listen to while talking a walk and breathing in some fresh, Spring air. While Swift’s album “Lover” is one of her more happy albums, this song stands out as being particularly upbeat and fun.

Drew Barrymore – Bryce Vine

This past Movin’ On performer has no shortage of fun, vibey songs. “Drew Barrymore” name drops a hotel in Palm Springs, a desert oasis in Southern California that is home to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Nothing else reminds me of warm weather quite like Coachella, Palm Springs and deserts do.

Doses & Mimosas – Cherub

Almost anyone you ask would probably name this song as one of their favorites to listen to in nice weather. Something about this song perfectly encapsulates the feeling you get on the first warm day after months of winter. There is no better song to listen to while hanging out on HUB Lawn with all of your friends.

Feels – Calvin Harris (feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean)

Calvin Harris might be the artist that has released the most songs of the summer throughout his career, making him an obvious addition to this list. “Feels” is a star-studded track and an anthem for warm weather days, which makes it the perfect song to listen to as we gear up for summer.

Good Days – SZA

As one of the most popular artists in the industry right now, I knew I had to add a SZA song to this list. There is something in the air on warm spring days that just puts everyone in a good mood, and what better song to listen to when you’re in a good mood “Good Days”?

no tears left to cry – Ariana Grande

This song was released in April 2018 and was my anthem for my last few months of school that year, so now I always associate it with springtime. “no tears left to cry” is such a positive song about putting things behind you and looking forward with happiness. As we get ready to put the cold weather behind us for the year, this is a great song to listen to.

Pocketful of Sunshine – Natasha Bedingfield

As a 2007 release, this song is the oldest on this list, but after Natasha Bedingfield’s surprise concert during THON weekend, I knew I had to add this song. “Pocketful of Sunshine” may be the most self-explanatory addition to this list because what else says warm weather like sunshine does?

The Spins – Mac Miller

This is a song that I’m pretty sure every college student knows and loves. “The Spins” is so fun and upbeat. It is the perfect song to sing along to in the car with the windows down and fresh, Spring air blowing in, or to dance around to with your best friends.

Sunflower, Vol. 6 – Harry Styles

“Sunflower, Vol. 6” is a highly underrated Harry Styles song, and perfect to listen to when the weather gets warmer, since flowers and spring weather go hand in hand. Often described as “psychedelic” and “trippy,” this song is so much fun to listen to and different from a lot of Styles’ other work.
