Movin’ On’s 50th Anniversary Show Lineup Is Here!

Writer: Rachael KellerRachael Keller

For 50 years, music lovers from Penn State have eagerly awaited the release of each year’s concert lineup; March 28th was no different.

Penn State students arrived at the HUB-Robeson Center to hear Movin’ On 2025’s, “Movin’ On 50,” concert lineup release. Students were met with performances, raffles, merch and tabling by the Movin’ On team as they awaited to hear the four performances they could look forward to on May 2nd.

This year Movin’ On will be hosting All-American Rejects, Pusha T, Baby Tate and Claire Rosinkranz.

The All-American Rejects
The All-American Rejects

All-American Rejects will close out the night at 2025’s headliner for Movin’ On. The band is composed of lead singer/bass guitarist/pianist Tyson Ritter, lead guitarist Nick Wheeler, guitarist Mike Kennerty and drummer Chris Gaylor. The rock band, originally formed in Oklahoma, released their debut, self-titled album in 2002. This album produced the group’s breakout hit: Swing, Swing. Their 2005 album, Move Along, brought the band to true mainstream fame with one of their biggest hits Dirty Little Secret. The album also featured popular singles like Move Along and It Ends Tonight. In 2008, the band released their next album, When the World Comes Down, which was home to their massive hit, Gives You Hell. The band would go on to release their next album, Kids in the Street and dozens of singles, maintaining their alternative-rock sound. The Rejects will make the perfect headliner at Movin’ On bringing to the stage a nostalgic rock energy to the stage to close the night.

Pusha T
Pusha T

Pusha T will come on before All-American Rejects to offer the crowd a well-crafted, high energy hip-hop performance. Pusha T was formerly one half of the hip-hop duo, Clipse from 1994 to 2010. The duo consisted of T and his brother, Gene “Malice.” T made his solo debut on Kanye West’s album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, after signing to Ye’s GOOD Music in September of 2010. T then went on to premiere Runaway live with Kanye at the 2010 MTV Music Awards. T began to gain real traction after the release of his 2013 album, My Name Is My Name. The album was home to features from artists like Kanye, Tyler, The Creator, French Montana, Juicy J, 50 Cent, Pharrell Williams and Meek Mill. T would then go on to release critically acclaimed albums including Daytona in 2018 and It’s Almost Dry in 2022. It’s Almost Dry became his first number one spot on the Billboard 200. T has also had features on popular songs including Don’t Like.1, Mercy, Move That Dope and Tell the Vision. T has cemented his place in hip-hop history with his two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Album, and four Grammy nominations overall. He has the flow, lyricism and vision that will light up the Movin’ On stage.

Baby Tate will also be joining the 2025 Movin’ On stage. The Atlanta based rapper, singer, songwriter and producer hit the scene with her debut in 2015 as Yung Baby Tate. In 2016, Tate released one of her most popular singles, Hey Mickey. Tate began to get even more attention from her viral single I Am, off her EP After the Rain. The track also held a feature from popular rapper, Flo Milli. As she has continued to rise to fame Tate has held features on JID’s Surround Sound, Ashnikko’s STUPID and Dreamville’s Don’t Hit Me Right Now. Tate has also gained a lot of recognition for her musical talents, her single Beckham was featured in the pilot of Euphoria in 2019 and in 2022 she joined Charli XCX as an opener for the North American leg in of Crash: The Live Tour. Tate has the unique ability to blend a number of genres of music together to create a unique, new, fun sound for every single, EP or album she releases.

Claire Rosinkranz

Claire Rosinkranz will also hit the Movin’ On Stage, presented by SPA. Rosinkranz signed with Republic Records at just 16 years old. The California-born singer-songwriter began creating music when she was eight years old, often working alongside her father. Rosinkranz went viral with her single Backyard Boy in 2020 from her debut EP BeVerly Hills BoYfRiEnd. The song gained virality on TikTok, earning 300 million Spotify streams and features in over one million videos. Rosinkranz released her debut album in 2023 titled Just Because, which featured popular songs like Swinging at the Stars, Frankenstein and Hotel. She has also recently released a single titled Lucy

Fez

The festival will open with Battle, a competition where Penn State student artists compete for the open slot at Movin’ On, winning band Fez. The band is composed of Xavier Hans, a third-year music technology student, Jimmy Connely, a fourth-year computer engineering major, and Max Hill, a third year music student at Lycoming College. The group describes their sound as “scuba rock,” saying the point is that they can’t truly describe their sound. Though they do take inspiration from bands like Elvis Costello, Built to Spill and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. The group is bold, new and fun stepping on stage with signature red robes and Fez Hats, they will be the perfect student performance to open Movin’ On.

Movin’ On 2025 is packed with talent, great music and exciting entertainment for students. All of the performers are sure to offer students the perfect closing to a long year. We hope to see everyone on May 2nd at the IM Fields for Movin’ On’s 50th anniversary!
