Coming to Movin’ On this year? Here is some information on the amazing artist, Claire Rosinkranz, who will be leading our festival into its 50th year!

Claire Rosinkranz will be taking the Movin’ On stage after the Battle of the Band’s winner, Fez, on May 2nd at the IM Fields. Thank you to SPA for donating this incredible act to us to help us kick off our 50th Anniversary! We cannot wait for everyone to experience this amazing festival together!
Rosinkranz rose to fame at 16, when she signed a record deal with Republic Records after releasing snippets of her music on social media. However, Rosinkranz has been creating music much longer than that.
Throughout her entire childhood, Rosinkranz’s father wrote commercial jingles and songs for TV shows. He enlisted her help with songwriting when she was just 8 years old, and from there her love for music exploded.
Helping her dad create jingles and songs as a young child led Claire Rosinkranz to a breakout career in the indie-pop genre of music at just 16 years old.
Claire Rosinkranz and her father continued their collaboration into her first EP, BeVerly Hills BoYfRiEnd, where he helped her write, produce and record her first ever musical release. Her and her dad co-wrote and co-produced her first viral song, Backyard Boy, which took the Internet by storm during the pandemic.
Several fun and trendy trends started because of this song and people were connecting with each other virtually every day due to this song's funky beat and exciting lyrics. Backyard Boy became a success overnight and solidified Claire Rosinkranz as an indie-pop artist.
Since the success of Backyard Boy and BeVerly Hills BoYfRiend, Rosinkranz released her highly sought after debut album, Just Because, in 2020 where she sings about the highs and lows of growing up and entering adolescence. Lived experiences are such an integral part of her songwriting process- her own and her family’s.
Rosinkranz has had her songs featured in the movie, The Hating Game, and has charted in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Claire Rosinkranz has described her genre of music as “alternative blues-pop” and is inspired by the greats, such as The Beatles and even Still Woozy. She takes inspiration from them and transcends their genres in her own songs.
Us here at Movin’ On are so happy to welcome Claire Rosinkranz to Movin’ On 50 this May, and we cannot wait to see all of you on the barricade for Claire Rosinkranz!
