Earlier this year, on April 27, Luke Combs performed at Penn State’s Beaver Stadium, drawing a crowd of over 80,000 fans.
The Movin’ On 2024 executive board had the chance to meet Combs before his show. Inspired by this interaction, an anonymous donor made a generous contribution of $25,000 to Movin’ On.
This donation has provided the foundation to create the Movin’ On Leadership Award, which could one day become a scholarship for Movin’ On members.
“This generous gift underscores the fusion of music and philanthropy, and it will also help to rally support for the student volunteers who make Movin’ On, a signature event at University Park, happen every year. Our volunteers give so much to the Penn State community, and I am glad that their spirit and determination are being recognized,” said Nick Pazdziorko, the staff adviser for Movin’ On.
Movin’ On is now launching a campaign to match the $25,000 donation, aiming to reach the $50,000 needed to establish a permanent scholarship for its members. We encourage everyone to consider donating to help Movin’ On continue growing and creating pathways for members into the music industry.
Movin’ On extends its gratitude to Luke Combs, his team, and all donors for their belief in this organization and their recognition of its mission.
Movin’ On would not be possible without the support of people like you—members, students, and faculty. Thank you for your contributions.
