It’s that time of the year — the holiday season is officially here! Thanksgiving is right around the corner, which means friends and family from all over come together to share their joy and gratitude for one another.
This is the time to take a pause and give thanks for the things we often take for granted - love, health, and the simple pleasures of life. Members of Movin’ On have so much to be grateful for this year, from loving family, amazing friends, and new music!
Senior Director Logan Powell says, “This year I’m thankful for my friends, my family, Movin’ On and all the memories with it, and of course, my dogs!” Movin’ On has created so many core memories for all of our members within the organization. From bonding activities and Battle of the Bands to festival loadout until 4:00 am, all members develop a core bond with one another. In my opinion, the deepest friendships are formed while hammering the screws into the barricades for hours on end...
Not only is Movin’ On thankful for the memories but for the friendships created by our different teams. This holiday season co-creative exec Bert Davis is thankful for his other co-creative exec Liana Simmons. With a mix of passion, creativity, hard work, and a little bit of sarcasm our creative team is a very important part of the festival's development and success!
Sure, our friends and family are important to be thankful for, but let’s be real...music is too! With the release of so many new albums this past year, music has only gotten better and better. With new music from Taylor Swift, Tyler, The Creator, Chappell Roan, Billie Eilish, Beyoncè, Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, and so many more, our playlists this season are loaded up with A+ albums!
‘Tis the season of growth, happiness, new beginnings, and coming together! As Movin’ On prepares for its 50th anniversary, our members are filled with so much gratitude and joy for all the hard work, amazing ideas, and passion put into this organization every week.
This holiday season let’s celebrate the bonds that unite us, make us stronger, and fuel our passion for improving every day. ‘Tis the season of thanks!
