How To Prepare for Movin' On 2017

Movin’ On, one of the biggest student-run music festivals in the country, will be on Friday, April 28. There are going to be a variety of acts performing throughout the day, like Zach Wade & the Good Grief, Love &Theft, Clean Bandit, D.R.A.M., All Time Low, and Two Door Cinema Club. If you’re not into the music, there will also be a ton of food, like tacos and funnel cakes, as well as, attractions, like inflatables and an art wall to draw on!

Where Are They Now: Lenina Crowne

If you go to Penn State or live in State College, then you’ve probably heard of the band Lenina Crowne. They’re an indie-rock band that you can find at the Phyrst, Café 210, or The Darkhouse Tavern, playing a mix of high-energy originals and crowd-pleasing covers. In 2014, they had the opportunity to open for Movin’ On. Three years later, we’ve caught up with the band to see what they’re doing today!

BEHIND THE DESIGN: A LOOK AT OUR 2017 POSTER

Each year, Movin’ On has the immense pleasure of partnering with the Penn State Junior Graphic Design Class taught by professor Kristin Sommese. In years past, the class had been tasked with a yearly logo to promote Movin’ On. Movin’ On 2017, however, would present a different project to the class. Instead of a yearly logo, the Movin’ On Directors of Marketing, Emily Foster and Ryan Heidig would call upon Sommese’s class to design a poster and a similarly designed t-shirt to promote the annual music festival.
