FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is Movin’ On for Penn State students only?
The festival was created as a student-focused and ages 18+ activity for Penn State students and those graduating and “movin’ on” in their lives. Students are welcome to bring friends, family, and guests to Movin’ On. All alcohol and drug laws will be strictly enforced by security and Police services.
Why is Movin’ On for people ages 18+?
Movin’ On feels that the environment of the festival is more appropriate, safe, and hospitable for those aged 18 years or older. To be reflective, Movin’ On has traditionally been an ages 18+ show. This year, the Executive Committee chose to take a more active approach in our marketing towards this effort, to ensure the safety and well-being of our concert attendees. Penn State Students may bring someone under the age of 18 as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
How is Penn State going to make sure attendees are safe?
Penn State takes the safety and security of its students, faculty and staff very seriously. The safety and wellbeing of visitors to our campus is also extremely important. Penn State University Campus Police, along with a team of auxiliary police will be on site at the Movin' On Music Festival. Security cameras will be installed at various points in the concert area of Lot 12 (Blue Band Field) and a first-aid tent fully staffed with EMS personnel and stand-by ambulance service are also planned for the duration of the festival. All alcohol and drug laws will be strictly enforced by security and Police services.
