Movin’ On, one of the biggest student-run music festivals in the country, will be on Friday, April 28. There are going to be a variety of acts performing throughout the day, like Zach Wade & the Good Grief, Love &Theft, Clean Bandit, D.R.A.M., All Time Low, and Two Door Cinema Club. If you’re not into the music, there will also be a ton of food, like tacos and funnel cakes, as well as, attractions, like inflatables and an art wall to draw on!
But it’s a long day, so make sure you come prepared. Here’s a list of what to bring!
CASH – If you want to get some Movin’ On merch, band merch, or food, make sure to bring cash since most places will not take debit or credit cards. While we will still be in the IM fields, there will be two ATMs available. PORTABLE CHARGER – We all know you want to snapchat the whole festival or text your friends to find out where they’re at, but it’s going to be a long day, so an extra charger will be necessary! SUNSCREEN – The weather is looking sunny and hot for Friday! Protect your skin! You don’t won’t to end up red during finals week or in your graduation pictures. HAT – Another way to help block out the sun! SUNGLASSES – University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) will be giving out some free sunglasses, but it’s never a bad idea to bring your own! LIGHT JACKET – Movin’ On goes on until 10:30 p.m., so it might be chilly at night. It’s never a bad idea to bring something to layer in case it gets cold. BAG – A drawstring bag can fit everything you need for the day! SPA will be giving some out if you don’t already have one – just be sure to arrive before they run out!
Remember that Movin’ On is 100% substance-free event, so no drugs or alcohol is permitted. For more information, head over to the Movin' On Festival Page. We can’t wait to see you at the Blue Band Field!
